COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

More Reasons to Think About a Home Elevator

Residential elevators equal independence

At first, residential elevator installation may seem like it’s going to cost a lot of money and take up a lot of space in your home. However, residential elevators are affordable, and the installation isn’t extraneous. They are made to fit most homes so you can easily and comfortably move from floor to floor. The return on investment of a home elevator has a high value. If you’ve been on the fence about having one installed one, keep reading! Here are more reasons to think about a home elevator.

You’ll Regain Independence.

With age, comes strain on the body. If you’re an older adult that finds it challenging to walk comfortably, let us make your life a little easier. Residential elevators help older adults to age independently. If you want to age in place without needing to leave your home, then this is one of the best investments that you can make. Loss of mobility also impacts people of all ages. Debilitating injuries affect everyone, regardless of age. If this applies to you or anyone in your home, then let us help.

Avoid Assisted Living

Assisted living can be costly. If your only issue is limited mobility, then there’s no need to uproot from your home. If you’re concerned about the cost of home elevator installation, there are ways to receive grants and loans for home modifications. The cost of living in an assisted living facility for one year alone can surpass the amount that elevator installation costs, which will be used for many years to come. If money isn’t a concern, then ask yourself if you are comfortable with leaving your home. If the answer is ‘No’, then consider this home modification so you can age in place.

Being in a Large Home with a Large Family

Do you own a large home? Is your family large? A residential elevator can make moving from floor to floor easy, especially when there are multiple stories and a lot of traffic. Transporting items will be a less daunting task. Also, if you enjoy having guests over, then moving around in your home will be less challenging for everyone who comes over. Home elevators enhance lives at any age and stage. A person’s recovery from surgery would put less strain on their body once returning home. A disabled child could regain their independence. An older adult could enjoy their home once more.
