COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Why Home Modifications are Well Worth the Investment

Here at Preferred Elevator, we know that the aging process involves a lot of thought and planning. As people become older, there are a lot of life decisions to make. When a person has limited mobility, one of these decisions includes staying in the comfort of their home or adjusting to life in a nursing home or retirement facility. Those with limited mobility deserve to stay at home and tend to their lives as usual. Home modifications such as residential elevators, stairlifts, and wheelchair lifts are well worth the investment so that you can age gracefully right in the comfort of your home. Keep reading to learn more!

Those with limited mobility deserve to stay at home and tend to their lives as usual.

Maintain Your Health

Moving to an assisted living facility can cause anxiety for someone who is used to living in their own home, as they can be overcrowded.  Unfortunately, as people age, their immune systems are more likely to weaken, meaning that being around a lot of people can also lead to germs spreading quickly. Nothing is more comforting than the peace that comes from waking up in your own home where you or your loved ones can regulate the way that it’s cleaned and maintained.

Freedom

Young or old, independence allows people to feel in control of their lives. Being self-sufficient is one of the top ways that elders maintain their mental and emotional health. We partner with Bruno and Inclinator to give you the home modifications that will give you your freedom back and make you feel as independent as you once did.

Comfort and Convenience

Leaving the comfort of home can be devastating for some, and cause more harm than good in the long run. Family, friends, and familiarity are what helps us enjoy life. While we cannot control all of life’s abrupt changes, there are some things that we have power over. Residential elevators, stair and wheelchair lifts all give you the ability to move around freely in your house and stay close to loved ones. Most importantly, they’re safe, and financing isn’t a complicated or expensive process.

Fast Facts
