COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

Signs That You May Benefit From a Dumbwaiter

Signs You May Need a Dumbwaiter Preferred Elevator

The dumbwaiter is invaluable regarding commercial kitchens

The dumbwaiter is invaluable in commercial kitchens and residences. This invention is beneficial in many ways, yet its greatness is often understated. If you want to enhance your home or business operation, a dumbwaiter is a considerable addition. You can use this lift to transport various objects from floor to floor safely. Here are some telltale signs that you may benefit from a commercial or residential dumbwaiter.

You May Consider a Dumbwaiter If You’re a Foodservice Manager

If your kitchen is on one floor and you entertain or serve your guests on another, you have to think about how you and your team will transport food to your guests. Hot food and beverages, coupled with carrying many plates, can be hazardous. With a commercial dumbwaiter in place, your team doesn’t have to worry about hauling multiple food trays from floor to floor. You won’t have to find yourself being concerned about them tripping or dropping things. Better yet, food will come to customers quickly and easily. Dumbwaiters also benefit the healthcare and retail industry.

If You’re a Person Who Lives with a Disability

Suppose you’re a part of the elderly community or have a disability that prevents you from walking up and down the stairs safely. In that case, a residential dumbwaiter can make a significant difference. You can use this device to transport items for you, such as groceries or luggage. The labor of lifting heavy objects can cause unnecessary physical stress on the body, and our lifts make life more convenient.

If Your Kids Have a Lot of Sports Equipment

When you have a large family and kids involved in sports, it means that their sports-equipment-filled bags can become heavy. It’s one thing to drag them to the car, but another to have to carry them up and down the stairs. With a dumbwaiter installed, transporting the sports equipment is as simple as pressing a button.

If Every Week You Wash Loads of Laundry

If your laundry room is upstairs, it’s convenient because you can place the clean laundry in the bedrooms within a matter of moments. However, if your laundry room sits at a lower level of the house, transporting loads of laundry can be a pain AND painful. No one wants backaches from carrying laundry. Plus, because older adults don’t heal as quickly if they experience a fall, they shouldn’t risk lifting heavy bins, bags, or baskets up the stairs and potentially tripping.

If You’d Like to Increase Your Home’s Value

Some elders move out of their homes because they want to downsize. If you’re someone who invests in properties, you can use this lift as a selling point that will benefit an older adult. Also, large families will appreciate the value that dumbwaiters have to offer.

If you’d like to learn more valuable information about dumbwaiters to any of our products, we have representatives that would love to answer your questions.
