COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

How to Choose a Stairlift Company

How to Choose a Stairlift Company

Today, we’re going to help you determine how you can select the best stairlift company for your needs.

Is there anyone at home who has difficulty going up and down the stairs? If so, you don’t want them risking injuries by trying to use stairs without anything to assist them. Installing a stairlift can be a great idea! If you have decided to have a stairlift installed, the next question becomes: which stairlift company do I hire to carry out the installation? Today, we’re going to help you determine how you can select the best stairlift company for your needs.

Look at Their History

A reliable stairlift company will likely have a lot of experience installing stairlifts for clients. If a company has stayed in business for a long time, it shows that their services have been good enough to allow them to keep providing those services. A more experienced stairlift company will also have worked with a wide range of clients over the years. This means they have seen pretty much any stairlift installation scenario, and they’ll definitely know what to do when they get to your property.

Look at How Many Services They Offer

It eases the installation process when you can get everything done from just a single company. Having to involve multiple companies with your project only serves to complicate things because there are more people who will need to coordinate with you.

Therefore, make sure your stairlift company offers all of the services you’ll need to get your installation completed. Do they offer consultations? What about maintenance services? You want to know these things ahead of time so you can be sure your stairlift company is a one-stop-shop for all of your needs.

Do They Have a Good Reputation?

Always look for companies with good reputations. If your stairlift company gets a lot of praise from past clients, you can have confidence in their ability to provide stellar services to you. Therefore, you should take a moment to look over online reviews and get opinions from previous customers before deciding on a company for your stairlift project.
