URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Different Wheelchair Lifts You Could Install

Wheelchair lifts come in many varieties, and we’ll be reviewing some of them with you today.

The weather is getting warmer and overall more pleasant with the spring season on the horizon. This is when you’ll likely want to spend more time outdoors, perhaps hanging out on a patio or deck outside of your home. What if, though, it’s harder for you to access these areas because of difficulties getting up and down stairways? If this is the case for you, you should look into different wheelchair lifts you could install around your house. Wheelchair lifts come in many varieties, and we’ll be reviewing some of them with you today.

Incline Platform Lifts

Incline platform lifts are perfect for decks, patios, or porches your outdoor landscape has. They can be built to follow whatever incline your staircase has, however,

these types of wheelchair lifts need a wide staircase, so outdoor areas are great for them. What’s more is that you can fold them up anytime they’re not in use, so they aren’t obstructive when you don’t need to use them.

Vertical Platform Lifts

These wheelchair lifts are a little bit different, but share some similarities. These lifts are also on the larger side, which means they’re also perfect for outdoor spaces. A difference that vertical platform lifts have is that they don’t follow the incline of your staircase. Instead, they do what their name implies: lift people vertically onto different levels either outside or inside a building.

If you don’t want to use as much space, vertical platform lifts are perfect. These lifts can even be built to be as tall as two stories, so there’s no outdoor living area that’s too far off the ground for your lift to access.
