COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Why You Might Want to Install a Home Elevator

When you install a home elevator you can enjoy extra accessibility and ease.

A residential elevator can be a life-changing addition to your home. An elevator is a mobility solution that will allow you to enjoy your home for years to come, or increase your home’s value in the event that you wish to sell. Whether you’re considering an elevator for luxury and convenience or for safety reasons, here are three reasons why you might want to install a home elevator.

Improve Home Mobility

For people facing mobility challenges due to age, injury, or disability, climbing stairs may not be feasible. If you find yourself unable to ascend and descend the stairs in your home, if you want to avoid relocating to an assisted living facility, or if you have an elderly relative living with you, installing a home elevator might be the solution you need.

Seniors who wish to age in place can continue to enjoy the security and independence of living at home while getting around the house safely. When considering the prospect of moving to an assisted living community, or selling your two-story home in favor of a one-story house or condo, an elevator can extend the time you’re able to spend in the home that you love and avoid the emotional, physical, and financial stress of a move.

Increase Your Home’s Resale Value

The addition of a residential elevator is an investment that can increase the resale value of your home. It’s an impressive home modification that will differentiate your home from other properties  on the market, especially for buyers looking for luxury or accessibility. An appraiser can help you understand how a home elevator will affect the value of your property.

Elevate Your Home’s Décor and Style

A residential elevator can be designed to blend seamlessly with your home’s aesthetic. From traditional styles to sleek, modern designs, your elevator can be custom built to suit your taste and your needs. We offer multiple sizes, cab styles, gates and doors, lighting, accessories and finishes to create your ideal home elevator system.
