COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Signs You Could Use an Elevator Replacement

Signs You Could Use an Elevator Replacement

Here are the signs that you should get an elevator replacement.

Do you have a home elevator that isn’t performing as optimally as you want it to perform? All elevators have their lifespans, and when yours starts to reach its limit, you should consider replacing it with a new one. Older elevators can struggle with performance, making them less efficient, and sometimes less safe. This is why it’s important to know when replacing an elevator could be needed. Here are the signs that you should get an elevator replacement.

The Parts of Your Elevator are Getting Obsolete

Have you needed repairs to your elevator, only to find that the components it requires aren’t manufactured anymore? When you can’t find the right components to fix your elevator, making repairs becomes much more of a hassle. Not only are the components harder to find, but they also tend to be more expensive due to their rarity.

You Have to Make Repairs More Often Than Normal

As your elevator gets older, it will need to have repairs done more often. Eventually, the cost of repairs will become high enough that it could be more financially beneficial to get an elevator replacement instead. By investing in a brand new elevator, you can heavily lower the amount of money you spend on repairs.

You Have to Follow Safety Standards

A common reason you may want to get an elevator replacement is because you’re trying to improve passenger safety. If you use an older elevator with older components, it’s more likely that problems with your elevator could make it less safe. By getting an elevator replacement, you can invest in an elevator with modern components, which will function optimally to ensure maximum safety for passengers.
