COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

An Elevator Maintenance Plan and Its Importance

elevator maintenance plan Preferred Elevator

An elevator maintenance plan is a practical investment.

An elevator maintenance plan is a practical investment. It comes in handy when there are unexpected service calls and repairs but is also peace of mind that your elevator is working properly. Safety is our number one priority. We provide a quality preventative plan maintenance program to ensure that your residential elevator or LULA elevator is reliable. According to the Huffington Post, riding in elevators is incredibly safe and at Preferred Elevator, we believe elevators are even safer with a maintenance plan. Here is more detail about the importance of elevator maintenance plans.

The Disadvantages of Not Having an Elevator Maintenance Plan

The purpose of maintenance plans is to ensure that essential checkups happen and that there is a proactive solution to fixing potential problems before they become significant issues. Without a maintenance plan set up, a part that’s not working could go undetected. Choosing to opt-out of a maintenance plan could result in higher repair costs. If you or your loved ones rely on a residential elevator, then it can lead to frustration if you are not able to use your elevator because it did not have regularly scheduled maintenance.

Code Violations Are an Issue

For our commercial clients, we provide annual inspections. Annual inspections matter for commercial elevator clients because, in most jurisdictions, commercial elevators need an inspection each year to ensure that they are up-to-code. Not having a properly functioning LULA elevator could result in liability as well as costly fines. Plus, those who need accommodations benefit from having accessibility. Without it, it could cause discomfort and inconvenience.

The Advantages of Having an Elevator Maintenance Plan

Working with us is the best way to ensure the reliable operation of your equipment as well as ensuring that you, your loved ones, or your guests and visitors have a safe ride. Our highly-trained technicians can catch small issues before they turn into larger ones as well as maximize longevity. Here some of the many advantages that come with our maintenance plans:
