COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Five Advantages of Using Material Lifts

You can keep your employees safe by utilizing a material lift.

Unfortunately, a high number of employee accidents take place in warehouses and on construction sites. The cause is often that employees are getting hit by falling objects or stuck in between equipment. These incidents are avoidable. You can keep your employees safe by utilizing a material lift. Not only does material lifts keep your employees safe, but there are other advantages of using material lifts. Keep reading to discover these advantages!

Protect Products

When employees have to lift products, especially heavy ones, there is a possibility that the product could fall and become damaged. With a material lift, all your employees would have to do is place the product or box onto the lift and press a button. This process is simple, and it reduces the chances of you needing to spend money to replace damaged goods.

Decrease Employee Injuries

Studies show that when employees regularly lift heavy materials, it can lead to disorders that affect the muscles, tendons, nerves, and other parts of the body. Since a material lift doesn’t require your employees to overextend themselves, there is a lower risk of these disorders affecting their bodies.

Become More Efficient and Productive

Any physical labor makes a person tired and drained. During the middle or end of a work shift, there’s a high chance that your employees won’t be working at the same rate. Lifts, unlike people, don’t get tired. They are operable all day long, improving the efficiency of your production line.

Higher Efficiency Equals More Money

If you are a warehouse employer, this means that your establishment thrives when packages and goods are delivered on time. Since a material lift can help your employees move at a faster rate, this ensures on-time delivery. The more products that your employees push out increases your revenue.

Your Employees Will Be More Satisfied

An ideal workplace is one where employees have the utmost comfort. If your employees aren’t comfortable, this means that they won’t perform to the best of their ability. Since a material lift decreases employee exhaustion that comes from physical labor, it’s a guarantee that your employees will be happier.
