COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Aging is a Beautiful Thing. Here’s Why!

Aging has a stigma, but it is, in fact, a beautiful thing.

Aging has a stigma, but it is, in fact, a beautiful thing. We believe that growing older has many benefits and does not have to be debilitating whatsoever. Older adults have the freedom and capability to age in place, travel, and still live full lives even with limited mobility. We are experts regarding home elevator, stairlift, wheelchair lift, and dumbwaiter installation, but today we’re here to tell why aging is such a beautiful thing. Keep reading!

Studies Prove That Seniors are Happier

It may be shocking, but studies show that seniors tend to be happier than their middle-aged counterparts. Older adults tend to have better coping skills and are more comfortable in their skin. As you age, you can look forward to more peace and more happiness.

More Free Time

When you retire, you can take the time to do all of the things that you were too busy to do, like travel the world or master a hobby that’s always interested you. . You’ll also have more time to spend with your loved ones. Watching grandchildren grow up is a very heartwarming experience for elders.

You’re Much Wiser

Aging brings about wisdom. Studies show that people who are 60 and older, have greater control over their emotions, and have solid resolutions for challenging problems than those who are younger. The adage “you live and you learn” is true in this case. For the older adults who made the best of their life, tend to have a broader perspective.

Financial Improvements

Programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security give seniors health care insurance and an income. Senior discounts are also a perk. Senior discounts help older adults enjoy more activities, have a social life, and stay engaged. This is merely a few of the many benefits behind aging.

Aging does not have to limit you or be a negative thing. Depending on your perspective, it can be quite beautiful. You have a lot of wisdom to share with the world. You have so much life left to live! It’s up to you to take full advantage of becoming older.
