COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

3 Advantages of A Residential Wheelchair Lift

Wheelchair

Discover the advantages of installing a wheelchair lift in your home.

Traveling around your home with a mobility issue can be a difficult experience especially if you use a wheelchair on a daily basis.  Fortunately, there have been several advancements to make life easier for individuals with disabilities such as home elevators, wheelchair lifts and stairlifts.  For those that use wheelchairs as their primary source of travel, a wheelchair lift is a necessary investment for any home or property.  There are several benefits of installing a wheelchair lift into your home that you will love for years to come.

Independence

One of the most attractive features of a wheelchair lift is the independence and freedom it gives anyone that uses it.  A person that is bound to a wheelchair does not have to rely on loved ones or a caretaker to help them move around their own home.  Once you install a wheelchair lift in your home, all you have to do is roll into the lift and press a button to travel a specific floor.  A wheelchair lift also makes it easier to carry and transport items throughout your home.

Wise Investment

Installing a wheelchair lift into your home will benefit you financially for years to come.  Many brands and models are long-lasting and require minimal maintenance to work properly.  A wheelchair lift will also add value to your home once you are ready to sell.  Prospective homeowners will more likely want to put on an offer on your home if you have a lift especially if they or a loved one are bound to a wheelchair.

Variety of Options

Installing a wheelchair lift into your home is very simple because it can be placed virtually anywhere in the home.  Wheelchair lifts can come in small sizes so it can fit in any room in any size home.  You can also install a wheelchair lift outside of your home so anyone can get into your residence easily.
