COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Why Getting a Home Elevator is a Good Idea

Why Getting a Home Elevator is a Good Idea

Read on to find out about the benefits a home elevator provides.

Home elevators have existed for many years now, and their popularity continues to grow as time goes on. If you’re not quite sure if getting a home elevator is best for you, there are a few reasons we believe it could be worth your while. Read on to find out about the benefits a home elevator provides.

You Can Age in Place More Easily

As we age, it can be more of a challenge to get around our homes. This is especially true when you have to go up and down flights of stairs. With a home elevator, you make it much easier on yourself to get to the places in your home where you need to go. It’s less strain on your body riding an elevator versus climbing up stairs, and it’s helpful to have an elevator when you need to carry items upstairs. All in all, a home elevator means you don’t have to sacrifice your independence when living in your house.

A Home Elevator Provides Extra Comfort and Convenience

Like we mentioned earlier, it becomes more difficult to move around as we age. You won’t want to place any unnecessary strain on yourself. On top of that, climbing up and down stairs can become more risky, and it’s possible to get injured while using them, especially if you’re not fully mobile.

A home elevator gives you a convenient way to get to the different floors of your house, all while being much safer than using the stairs. This means you put less strain on yourself, and you minimize the likelihood of injuring yourself.

Helpful for Those With Disabilities

Age isn’t the sole reason a person could use a home elevator. No matter their age, people have physical disabilities that make it harder to get up and down stairs.

Fortunately, home elevators make it much easier to get where you need to go, at any age or stage in life. This way, you can take back your independence, and you’ll be able to enjoy every area of your house without trouble.
