COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

Reasons to Hire an Elevator Repair Company

Reasons to Hire an Elevator Repair Company

Here are reasons to hire an elevator repair company.

When you have a home elevator, being able to operate it safely is a top concern. After all, it’s these elevators that grant homeowners much-needed independence, so having these elevators in top condition at all times is going to be vital. Like any part of your home, however, home elevators will eventually start experiencing problems and, when they do, you’ll need to find a reliable elevator repair company to come fix the issue(s). Here are reasons to hire an elevator repair company.

It’s Legally Required to Have Elevator Inspections

In many areas throughout the United States, elevators are legally required to be inspected. An elevator repair company can do two things for you. They can tell you how often to get your elevator inspected, and they can tell you who should be performing the inspection. All of these inspections are done to ensure the safety of anyone who uses your home elevator.

Repairs Will Be Needed in the Event of Inspection Violations

Whenever there’s a violation that’s found during inspection, you’ll have to make the right changes to get your home elevator compliant once again. An elevator repair company can identify any problem areas that your elevator may have, and they’ll know how to restore your elevator so that it complies with all safety regulations once again.

Keep Your Home Elevator Safe

Anyone who uses your home elevator should be safe while using it. By letting an elevator repair company perform any needed repairs and inspections, your elevator will be given professional-level care. This will keep your elevator from breaking down as often, Elevators that are cared for to a professional standard will keep those who use your elevator much safer, and it’s the safety of passengers that should be prioritized at all times.
