COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

How to Know It’s Time for Stairlift Installation

Stairlift Installation Preferred Elevator

We often discuss the benefits of stairlifts, but would you know if a stairlift installation should be in your immediate future?

We often discuss the benefits of stairlifts, but would you know if a stairlift installation should be in your immediate future? As people become older, life changes in many ways. You might find that you’re not able to walk up and down the stairs comfortably as before. However, the good news is that technological advances exist, such as stairlifts. When you modify your home with a lift, it can take a lot of pressure off your joints. The following clear indicators will make you aware that it’s time for stairlift installation.

Stairlift Installation is Necessary if Using the Stairs is no Longer Safe.

If climbing the stairs has become more and more challenging, then it’s time for a stairlift. Particularly if you’ve experienced trips and falls, it’s safe to say that some extra help traveling from one floor to the next would be incredibly beneficial.

If You Avoid Going to Another Level of Your Home

If you own a beautiful home, you should be able to experience it. Most people prefer to age in place because nothing compares to the comfort of their well-loved home. However, if pain and discomfort prevent you from enjoying your home like you used to, reaching out to one of our professionals can make a world of difference.

If Your Curved Staircase Presents a Challenge

Even the most unique staircases are suitable for stairlift installation. Walking up and down a few straight stairs can be challenging, let alone winding stairs. Fortunately, our mechanics can install curved designs that fit the exact shape of your steps.

If You Would Prefer Not to Move to a New Home

As people become older, sometimes they prefer a rancher home for ease and accessibility because it only has one floor. However, selling a home and buying a new one can take a lot of unnecessary work. Often, it’s more affordable to enhance the home you already have and make it work for your lifestyle or limitations.

The point that we’d like to drive home is that life can still be fulfilling even as we age. All it takes is research and a little help from our experts. If you believe that stairlift installation would make a difference in your life and make it more convenient, give us a call today.
