COVID-19 Notice

Preferred Elevator would like to assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have developed a “No Family Contact” process for service, repairs and installations. Our Mechanic, who will be wearing a mask and gloves, will call you when we are at your front door and will discuss the issues or concerns you have with your unit. Our customer can then unlock the door, but there is no need to further greet the Mechanic or be present for the service, repair or installation. Please feel free to move to another part of the home while we are working. Final payment can be left for technician or can be done over the phone with our office.
We greatly appreciate your business during this time.

Sincerely,
Ken Gough

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE

Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.

The Benefits and Convenience of a Curved Stairlift

Curved Stairlift Benefits Preferred Elevator

A curved stairlift will help prevent slips and falls for people with limited mobility

A curved stairlift makes a difference because not every stairlift is the same. Some have a straight stairwell from floor to floor. Others have twists, turns, and some landings along the way. The benefit of hiring our team to install lifts for you is that we can customize them in a way that will suit your unique home. Even if you have a smaller house or one with twists and turns, you might be pleasantly surprised to find that we can accommodate your needs. You don’t have to miss out on the benefits and convenience of a stairlift just because you have a curved staircase. Here are a few ways that a curved stairlift can make life more convenient for its users.

A Curved Stairlift Offers Safety and Versatility

If you discover that you need a curved stairlift to fit your unique staircase, you can rest assured that you’ll be safe when traveling from one floor to another. All of our products have backup safety features to ensure that your safety and comfort come first. These backup features include motion-sensor detectors that will make sure your curved stairlift stops if there is an object in the way. If there is a power outage, curved stairlifts are battery-powered and have a battery back-up, making it possible for you to always enter and exit the home.

Curved stairlifts also have outdoor applications. Even if your deck has an intricate design, we can still install a stairlift that can take you from your deck and the outside of your home with ease. We fully understand that homes can have complex interior and exterior designs and structures, but we always take this into account.

Less Risk of Slipping and Falling

The older we become, the more that stairs can become an obstacle, in general. However, when a home has inclines, slopes, or intricate twists and turns, walking can be even more challenging. When you allow one of our expert mechanics to install your curved stairlift, it means that you will be less susceptible to slipping and falling. When you fall either inside or outside, it’s hazardous or can even be fatal. One of Preferred Elevator’s primary goals is to make your home a safer place to be.

More Summertime Fun

An indoor curved stairlift coupled with an outdoor one means that you can spend more time in your yard and your garden. It means that you can enjoy spending time on your deck or your patio. What’s even better is that it allows you to venture both outside and inside the home safely. Everyone deserves to live an independent life where they can take care of their daily chores and have a little bit of summertime fun. Limited mobility undeniably makes life more challenging, but we hope to make life more comfortable with our modifications
