Inspection & Compliance Services
Preferred Elevator provides comprehensive elevator inspection services to help building owners remain compliant with Maryland Safety Law. We offer both CAT 1 (annual) and CAT 5 (five-year) inspections as required by the State of Maryland. All inspections and testing are performed by our licensed and certified elevator mechanics, in coordination with a Third-Party Qualified Elevator Inspector (TPQEI) as mandated under HB 1107. With the recent changes to Maryland’s elevator safety regulations, a TPQEI must now be physically present during required testing, and we manage this entire process for you. Preferred Elevator will schedule and coordinate testing directly with the third-party inspector to ensure your unit meets code requirements and remains in full compliance.
