Accessibility challenges are amplified when you or a loved one rely on a wheelchair for mobility, but with wheelchair lift installation, Preferred Elevator can provide solutions to maintain and improve your quality of life. No matter how old you are or what disability you are living with, you deserve independence and freedom especially within your own home. At Preferred Elevator, we find great satisfaction in ensuring that every section and floor of your home is accessible to everyone in the household, so that our wheelchair enabled clients in Maryland have the option to age in place, and can avoid moving if living with a temporary or permanent disability. No need to seek out or stick with single-level housing if you can outfit your environment with indoor or outdoor wheelchair lifts from Preferred Elevator.

Geoff did a thorough inspection of my elevator explaining how the system worked etc. He changed the backup battery and was meticulous inspecting every floor. He was friendly, courteous and it was obvious he knew his stuff having been in the industry for so long

Our experience with Preferred Elevator Company was positive and professional. Their troubleshooting and refurbishing of our residential elevator represented quality workmanship and attention to customer communication. Our elevator was installed by the previous homeowner over 25 years ago. When service was needed this year, we contacted the elevator manufacturer who suggested we call Preferred Elevator Company. We were pleased with their support.

I have used Preferred Elevator Company for years for maintenance but this week I had a minor emergency. My elevator broke with perishable items inside. I couldn’t get it open. They were terrific. Came when I needed them and took care of the problem right away. You don’t regret calling them.

They came out to fix a chair lift for me. The tech was on time. Unfortunately he informed me he didn't know prices. Ken, the owner, called me and was very helpful and worked with me. Thank you, Ken.
Urgent Safety Notice
Elevators installed with more than 4 inches of “gap space” between the hoistway doors and the elevator car doors can pose a serious safety risk. Children may become entrapped in the space and could be seriously injured or killed. This risk can be reduced with the proper installation of space guards at each floor.
